voluma

Voluma® is a hyaluronic acid filler designed to restore volume deep within the cheeks and along the jawline. By lifting and contouring these areas, Voluma® helps create a naturally youthful appearance that can last 2-3 years -- significantly longer than many other fillers.

Voluma® uses a smooth gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin that attracts and retains moisture. It is injected deep into the facial tissues, where it adds volume and lifts sagging areas caused by age-related fat loss. This deeper placement is what sets Voluma® apart from other fillers -- it doesn’t just plump the surface but actually restores underlying structure. Because of this, the effects are immediate and long-lasting.

Benefits of Voluma®

  • Restores volume and lift to the cheeks, cheekbones, and jawline

  • Provides natural-looking contour and youthful definition

  • Deep placement gives a true lifting effect rather than surface-level plumping

  • Long-lasting results

  • Can be combined with other injectables for comprehensive facial rejuvenation

Voluma’s proprietary mixture also contains some lidocaine. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that helps to numb the areas that it contacts, so many patients describe the entire process as very comfortable. Additionally, the product is applied with a very fine gauge needle, which only produces an initial “small pinch.” As the product is injected, patients have told us that they do feel some pressure in the area being treated but did not describe the process as uncomfortable.
