Understanding that each person has a unique anatomy and desired outcome, Dr. Chin and Dr. Lau will create a personalized treatment plan for liposuction surgery (“lipoplasty”) patients. During your visit, the various liposuction techniques will be discussed in detail.
Our doctors offer the latest, advanced technologies in liposuction plastic surgery methods, including smart liposuction, ultrasound liposuction, and power-assisted lipoplasty (PAL). Dr. Chin and Dr. Lau may utilize the PAL technique to target areas where fat is tenacious, such as the love handles and flanks. Ultrasonic liposuction liquefies fat cells to allow for easier removal than traditional lipoplasty. Smart liposuction is often used for the neck and chin area; the laser technology helps the skin contract post-surgery.
Regardless of the method used, Dr. Chin and Dr. Lau will always incorporate tumescent lipoplasty. This is the injection of a large volume of lidocaine (anesthetic) and epinephrine (capillary constrictor) to help with bleeding, bruising, and swelling.
